When Canada became a nation in 1867, the federal government began collecting individual taxes from citizens to pay for developing infrastructure and building the nation. Canadians began to pay additional taxes to the federal government around 1916, as a corporation tax to fund WWI was added to the personal tax burden. The provinces quickly formed, and those governments could collect taxes for provincial infrastructure needs. Local community governments are for building a community. This began at confederation, and finally became Canada in 1999, with Canada acquiring Nunavut. The taxes fluctuated over time, with personal credits available to be earned that increased throughout the year. To manage all this paperwork, as well as the diverse credits provincially and federally, Bookkeepers became trusted, long before Handy Circle opened its doors.
Handy Circle Resources Society has done your personal taxes since the mid-1980s. Our office at 101 490 Quebec St in Prince George receives your taxes with the required information, accurately gets them ready and even sends them off to the government offices for review and action. We never ask for money for that service. Any return, if applicable, will be deposited into your bank account. However, we do accept donations, and we hope to see you the following year if not sooner. Please call us first at 250-563-1852 to set up a time to discuss if needed, or if you just dropped it off through the mail slot. Our office is staffed remotely, with limited time in the office. You can help us keep our office alive for that! Email us at hcrspg@gmail.com to find out how, or click the donation link above. Thank you in advance for asking!
