Who are Comfort Keepers?

We recently connected with an agent for Comfort Keepers, a group local in Prince George providing caregiving services for persons with diverse ages and abilities living in challenging situations due to age, chronic illness or injury. They join similar organizations, such as ‘Big Hearts‘, ‘Optimum Home Care‘, and ‘Nurse Next Door‘ that provide care for these people in Prince George. So many private home care agencies.

It could be Comfort Keepers…. A clipart version showing a nurse helping a client.

What services do they offer?

Like all the services, they provide diverse unique services. Re Home care, Comfort Keepers have personal prepared plans, unique to the person receiving care. They offer a wearable to compliment their services, similar to a smart watch but so much more. it’s called the Comfort 360. It offers an alert for immediate response in the event of a fall, or other health emergency. It has Falls detection and wellness insights, similar to a smartwatch connected to a health professional. They offer 24 hr personalized response in the event of an emergency through it. You can choose the style that fits your lifestyle. They come in the form of discreet neck pendants or a wrist-worn device. They are a professional service. Contact Comfort Keepers in Prince George for more information on services and this device.

Handy Circle is staffed by 3 employees, and several volunteers Monday to Friday. A volunteer board for Governance oversees the programs and operations of this organization. We have photographs from ages past, that we dug out of our archives. We are in the process of identifying them for a future project on this website. If you have knowledge from our past and can help ID some pictures, please contact us to arrange viewing time and a discussion on the history

I'm finally here! I help multiple nonprofits with WordPress websites and Facebook pages, including Handy Circle's at https://www.facebook.com/HandyCircle/. Volunteer PG (https://volunteerpg.com/), the Carefree Transportation Society (the site is evolving and should be HTTPS soon, risk it at http//carefreesociety.org/). I also manage my own website at https://walknroll.info/. Give it a follow on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/pgwalknroll/). Onward. This site will be changing thanks to Handy Circle's Lorraine Young, myself and Steph's blogging.
