What is poverty?

Poverty in Canada lives below the national average. That’s around $22,000 annually. Below $1,000 a month, $500, biweekly… Pretty hard to imagine, but those people exist. Would you believe they still must file a Tax Return with the Canadian Revenue Corporation, if of mature age? Call us if you need one prepared. We can even ‘catch you up’, if you missed a few years of doing them. It happens, we understand. Particularly to people living under the poverty line. We get busy starting in February as people prepare for the tax season.

How many Canadians live below the poverty line?

A great deal of people live below the poverty line in Canada. Prisoners. 55 plus persons, any age with an affliction, sometimes from birth. Anyone living from paycheque to paycheque on provincial and federal supports. Off-grid people. Families. You too? Anything is possible. So many. CTV News has this article explaining the situation. I hope this answers your questions about individual limits and whether you live below the line. You are not alone. You are a leader among them, with your education and abilities so diverse.

Your taxes might help you overcome poverty. See us if you need them done.

Help us to continue to help you.
