Do you know what this new self-service option is, the devices behind the ‘self-checkout’ line? They handle the task of scanning your items and processing your electronic payment option. You bag your items and hold the receipt so staff know all items are paid for. What could go wrong with that idea? Retailers either hire more security or have cameras to reduce theft potential. Are you one of these 8 types of shoppers who refuse to use them? Dozens of people do use them.
Back in the day, Handy Circle took a few trips with our community. We would occasionally purchase groceries for events like CANDO, the Looney Auction, and the Christmas Craft Fair. I don’t personally use self-checkout, and I doubt if Susan, Shirley or Lorraine use it either. I do see many persons using them though. All good. If they exist, they might as well be used by someone, better you than me imho. Feel free to ask us about our use by calling 250-563-1852 or emailing hcrspg@gmai.com.
