Remote office management
The scenario
What is Remote office Management? I’ll use a real life example of this with Handy Circle‘s. story. We’re nowhere the size of the offices in the link I put. Basic functions are the same. In March of 2024, the office lost our funding. Dedicated volunteers have kept the office alive since then while professional volunteers and one staff worked between home and office. They did this through power outages. There was an explosion in the neighborhood. The main phone at the office would disconnected… The Volunteers can’t connect outside with the phone. At the office itself even the Wireless is not working, how can the volunteers read and send emails? Documents online even. Another volunteer was called, one who has worked there for ages. It inspired this post. Enjoy the short read.

The Job
The call would go out. The volunteer would arrive at the office, usually by bus to 7th Ave. This journey would take at least a half hour through all sorts of weather. The same solutions from when the office was in full swing. This volunteer has a second pastime project blogging. All good. It was me. This time it was just a phone call to explain the solution and a stopgap fix. Which I think will help many offices in this situation we find ourselves in. So you get a read lol, as short as the job. I know-Get to it. The phone: It is a landline. It has a power cord and phone cord normally attached. Check to make sure both are. Locate phone cord as that’s the issue and reinsert it. That problem is solved. Wireless is the simplest. If rebooting a device does not work, the modem needs a reboot. Never hurts. Pull the power from the back wait 5 seconds and reinsert. The office functions unhindered and I get to work on my own Blog!. By the way, I write in this Blog from home too
In closing
We hope this post will help you. The job is about 5 minutes of actual work. It takes me about an hour or more of call out time volunteering to get back home. I don’t mind but I should be employed elsewhere soon. Help support Handy Circle’s office with staff to stay open. Keep the phone alive, and the lights on. This website will go until 2027 at least. Here’s a 50-50 draw you can enter. The winner takes half. The pot is growing. Check it out here. Know your limit, play within it. Thank you in advance for your support.
