A Message to the Prince George Community

Handy Circle Resource Society would like to express our sincere gratitude to our dedicated staff and volunteers. When we learned that our grant funding had not yet been approved, our team recognized how important our services were to the people we support. Rather than step away, staff continued serving the community as volunteers, without expecting wages or compensation. Their dedication ensured that individuals and families continued to receive support, resources, information, and guidance when they needed it most.

The news was exciting beyond the board!

On March 30, we received the wonderful news that our grant application had been approved. This funding will allow us to strengthen existing programs, expand services, and increase our involvement within the Prince George community. We look forward to offering additional awareness events, educational workshops, and initiatives that support persons with disabilities and special needs. We acknowledge the financial support of the Province of British Columbia.

The future!

Looking ahead, Handy Circle Resource Society hopes to have an employee certified through the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification Program. This training will help support Spinal Cord Injury BC’s Northern Chapter in Prince George by identifying and advocating for accessibility improvements throughout our city. We respectfully acknowledge the ancestral lands of the Lheidli T’enneh, on whose traditional territory we live, work, and play. We remain committed to building a more accessible, inclusive, and supportive community for everyone.
